The NCPCR is a statutory body created under the POCSO and and protection of Rights of Children, convention of UN. Role of NCPCR in protecting/promoting child rights 1. Helped address in child adoption Rules/2021 proactive in addressing POCSO cases 2. Role to address the threat to safeguards under constitution and the Act 3. Study/research over new emerging threads to there right 4. Child labour Prevention Act/holds credit to NCPCR efforts 5. Immoral traffic of children esp girl child → NCPCR 6. Awareness building, advocacy at right through clearwaters with NGOs like CRY and Kailash Satyarthi foundation 7. Issues
