PLI scheme for food processing: 1) Incentive for value addition in millet sector. 2) Building brand for India's agriculture product in foreign market → Incentive for marketing and promotion. Success of PLI added scheme in food processing: 1) Increased agriculture export: Agriculture use export: $ 50 billion in FY24. 2) Increased Value addition: Food processing sector prove % agriculture output.
Further Measures required: 1) Higher incentives: Cover more food programs such as spices and pulses etc. 2) Focus on Horticulture export such as almonds and litchis etc. 3) Better infrastructure: Namo KISAN Kail facility and dedicated port corridors. 4) PM Formulation of food processing sector scheme to ensure formal linkages.
